Ultra-luxurious holiday home in Salzburger Land

Nestled between the Pinzgau Grasberge mountains and the mighty peaks of the Kalkhochalpen, lies the Leogang-Saalfelden vacation region – one of the most beautiful and largest skiing, biking and hiking areas in the world. Nevertheless, the village of Leogang in Salzburger Land has remained tranquil, looks back with pride on a long mining tradition and has preserved its soul. Now a new, spectacular vacation home offers a luxurious alternative to a five-star hotel stay: Chalet Julisam.

A cathedral-like ceiling height, ten bedrooms, a 14-metre-long stainless steel pool with waterfall and a design that could not be more luxurious. Chalet Julisam in Leogang consists of two adjoining houses and is one of the most exclusive vacation residences in the Austrian Alps. The main building hovers like an eagle’s nest 100 meters above the village on a south-facing slope. It impresses from the outside with its special, semi-circular design and huge window fronts. A naturally rough, almost white, slightly glittering Alpine marble from nearby Rauris characterizes the façade.

Sustainability was an important aspect for the owner: the chalet is completely CO2-neutral. For example, there are photovoltaics, heating is provided by geothermal heat pumps and the building materials are mainly sourced locally. “Leogang is the ideal powerhouse for alpine luxury tourism. In winter, ski enthusiasts have 2,700 kilometers of slopes at their disposal, while in summer countless hiking trails and bike tours invite guests to explore this unique landscape. There are seven golf courses in the immediate vicinity.“

Both houses offer space for up to 20 guests on a total area of 1,800 square meters. They can either be rented together or just the main house (to guarantee privacy, the guest house remains unrented during this time).

When entering the living area, the guests’ pulse is sure to beat a little faster. Floor-to-ceiling windows, almost five meters high, provide a view of the breathtaking landscape. The large seating area is located on a revolving stage and the large-screen TV can be retracted. A touch of glamor also emanates from the glossy lacquer of the grand piano, the shimmering stainless steel of the designer billiard table and the elegant dining areas. All bedrooms have luxurious box-spring beds from the renowned Wittmann Möbelwerkstätten. High-quality works of art complete the elegant ambience. Other amenities at this ultra-luxury retreat include an in-house cinema, five playstations, Napoleon barbecues in the outdoor area and a fitness room. Little people are also welcome. There are playgrounds, a trampoline, an indoor play paradise and much more. Amateur chefs will be delighted with the perfectly equipped kitchen – self-catering is also possible. However, a private chef is available on request, as is a chauffeur or a housekeeper. A masseur, yoga teacher or personal trainer can also be booked.

“Our service is almost limitless. We take care of ski or golf instructors, book a table in the restaurant, give tips for excursions. If desired, we can even fly our guests to Venice by helicopter. Our only aim is to make our guests happy,“ explains host Hannes Altenberger.
