a castle in Provence
It is a place for people who appreciate the special, a refuge of joie de vivre and enjoyment - luxurious yet down-to-earth - the Château de Montcaud in the picturesque village of Sabran, the gateway to Provence. The Swiss hosts Andrea and Rolf Bertschi were very committed to awakening the castle, built in the middle of the 19th century, from its Sleeping Beauty's sleep and reopening it in July 2018. Individual, elegant rooms and suites as well as a five hectare forest park with a heated outdoor pool are waiting to be discovered. Although only a few kilometres away from Avignon, the Provence around Sabran shows itself from its most original, still untouched side. Matthieu Hervé, who has already cooked with high-ranking Michelin-starred chefs, delights the guests of the enchanting Hideaway with a classic French cuisine that he interprets in a modern way. The Château de Montcaud offers a unique setting for conferences, seminars and private celebrations.
