MEDITERRANEAN-ASIAN PLEASURES IN PALMA

Behind an inconspicuous entrance right in the heart of Palma is a listed building City Palace on Carrer Concepció, probably the most exciting restaurant experience in Mallorca.

The initiators of this culinary work of art are the well-traveled Swiss Ivan and Sheela Levy and their business partner Simon Petutschnig, the native Austrian stove artist who and his team are responsible for the exquisite gourmet cuisine.

The sympathetic chef learned his trade in the two-star Miramar restaurant with Paco Pérez and in the Alkimia by Jordi Vilà. With a keen sense of sophistication, Simon Petutschnig brings the heat and passion of the Mediterranean together with the soul of Asia. A style of cooking that combines textures, flavors and carefully selected ingredients in a delicious modern liaison. Every course is also a pleasure for the eye, nowhere in Mallorca you will find such artistically and diversely arranged culinary flatteries. And even a few reminiscences of molecular cuisine, when wafts of nitrogen mist envelop the delicacies, are not gimmicks here, but skillfully accentuate the high standards of the kitchen.

There are three menus, the Art menu, the Fera tasting menu, a Fera Veggie tasting menu and a veritable à la carte menu - everything, like the treasures on the extensive wine list, is more than fair and hospitable . Tataki from Kvitsoy salmon, bluefin tuna as well as hand-scooped scallops and prawns with coconut, lemongrass and curry underline the claim to bring only the very best products to the plate. The freshly caught sea bass is accompanied by beurre blanc, fennel and celery. The Wagyu beef fillet from the Swiss Simmental melts tenderly on the tongue. In addition Perigueux, Duxelle and artichoke. Citrus fruits from Deia form the culmination of a multi-course Fera tasting menu.

The garden in the patio, which offers guests wonderful retreats with a lot of privacy in various places, is also a wonderful place to enjoy these delights. The culinary indulgence is adequately accompanied by selected, authentic wines from special wineries. In addition, Fera is the only restaurant on Mallorca that offers the award-winning Difference Coffee - a label that aims to process only the best coffees in the world in a special way.
